Legal

Terms

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Draft notice

This is a draft for review and is not yet a binding legal agreement. Final terms will be published before launch and are subject to change.

Acceptance of terms

By creating a PayAuth account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use PayAuth.

Eligibility

PayAuth is available to businesses based in the United States, and all amounts are in US dollars. By using PayAuth, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are authorized to act on behalf of the business you register. To take payments, you must first complete identity and bank verification with Stripe.

The service

PayAuth offers two products. With AgentAR, you record the receivables you are owed, and an agent you choose (your own, or a partner app you connect) requests payment links against them. With AgentPay, an agent you choose uses PayAuth’s API to create payment links for amounts it sets. PayAuth does not run your agent or contact your customers. For both, your customers pay on a hosted checkout run by Stripe, and PayAuth, as the merchant of record, processes the payment, settles your share to you, and records it. The scope of the service may change as PayAuth develops.

Fees and payments

For AgentAR, you pay the fee of the tier you select on each overdue invoice collected, from 10% of the amount collected, and card processing is charged on top. Invoices paid before they are due are charged at card processing plus 1%. For AgentPay, you pay the per-payment rate of your plan plus any monthly fee that plan carries; Developer and Growth rates include card processing, and Enterprise is priced at interchange plus a fixed margin. Per-payment fees are deducted from each successful payment before your share is paid out.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the receivables you record and for ensuring you have the right to collect them. You are responsible for the agents and partner apps you connect, and for their outreach to your customers. You agree to use PayAuth only for legitimate business payments: amounts your customers owe you, or charges for goods and services you provide.

Third-party services

PayAuth relies on trusted third-party providers, and your use of the service is also subject to their terms. Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe, which handles card and bank details and is certified to PCI-DSS Level 1. Sign-in with Google or QuickBooks is available if you choose it. If you connect it, QuickBooks (provided by Intuit) lets PayAuth import your invoices under your authorization. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy, and their names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners.

Payments and payouts

Payments are processed by Stripe, with PayAuth as the merchant of record, and appear on your customers’ statements as PAYAUTH* followed by your business name, shortened to fit. Your share is paid out to your bank on a daily schedule. Your bank and card details are handled by Stripe under its own terms, and PayAuth does not store your raw financial details.

Refunds and disputes

PayAuth is finalizing how refunds, disputes, and reversals are handled. This section will set out that policy before launch.

Termination

You may stop using PayAuth at any time. PayAuth may suspend or end access where these terms are breached or where required to protect the service.

Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. PayAuth does not guarantee that every invoice will be collected.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, PayAuth’s liability arising from your use of the service is limited. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

PayAuth may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect.
